Anyone miss Christmas traditions of the past?

When I was a kid, they used to air a burning Yule log on TV, and show the classic Laurel and Hardy movie March of the Wooden Soldiers on TV. Does anyone else remember that?

I know the film was released on DVD and the Yule Log is probably on Youtube.

Are there any other old Christmas things you miss they used to show on TV?

I remember the Christmas specials. Not cartoons that are always on that have a Christmas episode. I mean actual Christmas specials. Cartoons that were made just for Christmas. And I haven’t seen The Little Matchstick Girl in a long time.

Yes I call movies traditions when your entire family gathered to watch them.

Tradition-a long-established or inherited way of thinking or acting.

I think watching movies fits in that definition.

Haha my station has the burning yule log still.
I used to change the channel only after seeing the hand turning the log haha.
Everything else I remember from the past they still have, like the million different versions of the Christmas Carol haha
