Heavens to Murgatroid! L&H were the BEST! This was filmed at the Van Nuys airport in Southern Calif, which can also be seen in the 1942 classic “Casablanca”, in the scene where Major Strasser’s plane arrives at the local airfield. THANKS for sharing this delightful “blast from the past”! :)

Genuinely funny people. Not just people trying to be funny. They’d never get in “the door” in Hollywood these days. Stan Laurel was as kind and gracious as he was talented. I’m sorry that I never met Mr. Hardy.

Stan and Oliver are not just two famous comedians, they are the creators of a life philosophy. Here are two guys, innocent, full of good will, with the tender manners of? a kid, loyal to each other, loving and caring for everybody, and always seeing the best in people. Those traits are long gone, so, lets try to immitate them, keep it simple, very simple. If you see the last thing in their mind is money!!!

We are lucky to have seen their movies and enjoy them for the rest of our lives.

Oliver Hardy had a nice singing voice. These guys were really good entertainers. Wish there was more like them today.

see what you women do to us? poor Ollie had to join the foreign legion to mend his broken heart. And stan went with him! – that’s the definition of “bros before hoes” people.

laurel and hardy are comedy geniuses. also oliver hardy has a great singing voice, and stan is really light on his feet making him a great dancer. Laurel and Hardy isn’t just for the older generation – I’ve watched them since I was about 12 and I’m nearly 20 now.

My dad had a 16mm projector and would show Laurel and Hardy films often. The first time I saw Laurel and Hardy was when I was 6 years old and I am now 68. What is interesting is that regardless of what age I have been I love to watch ”the boy’s”, and truly enjoy their work.
