Since television began I believe the funniest ever shown on tv was Laurel & Hardy, Also I love Charlie Chaplin

    i totally agree we have got the full set of dvds and watch them regular my boys are 27 25 and 19 and if they all here at the same time we know its a laurel and hardy night

    Loads of excellent answers, the thing about comedy from that era is the visual aspect, and the rules of broadcasting then did noy allow bad language. It was just good clean belly laughing fun.
