Wide Open Spaces Official Film Trailer

The official trailer for the film Wide Open Spaces written by Arthur Mathews and starring Ardal O’Hanlon and Ewen Bremner. Wide Open Spaces is a quirky, off-beat Irish comedy about how breaking up with your best friend can be tougher than ditching a fiancée. Filtered through the singular mind of writer Arthur Mathews (Father Ted), and directed by Tom Hall (Bachelor’s Walk), the film channels classic double act dramas, from Laurel and Hardy to Withnail and I, combined with a stark visual and thematic sensibility, to create an unforgettable comedic escapade. THey need to fix the prints they sent to cineworld of this trailer, its all framed wrong in the trailer and makes the film look alot worse.

I feel light a dick saying it, but don’t actually spend money on seeing this, it’s so bad it’s depressing, and the famine theme park element isn’t used even for comic effect, it’s just accepted as part of the plot. I won’t say anything else though, that’s my lot.

I’m Scottish with Irish relatives, still doesn’t work. It’s… it doesn’t work.

I think you need to be Irish..

Yeah, it doesn’t look that funny. But willing to give it a go. A famine theme park, that’s a new one!

Afraid it’s a bit of a let down, and that’s being kind. Saw a press screening at the Edinburgh Film Festival, people walked out, including myself. It’s weird, it just doesn’t work for some reason, depite amazing cast and writer…
